Here’s an early picture of John (during the Silver Beatle days) when he was 21 years old. It was taken at the Cavern Club on July 10, 1961.
On sacking Pete Best from the group: In an interview with Hunter Davies , John admitted: “We were cowards when we sacked him. We made Brian do it. But if we’d told Pete to his face that would have been much nastier. . . . It would have probably ended in a fight.”
The Beatles have a bite in a breakfast grease spoon. Lennon has some change left on the table.
