In the news this week, John Lennon’s tooth sold at auction for $31,500.

It was bought by a Canadian dentist who plans to display the tooth in his office, and at to various dental schools.

Lennon had the tooth removed in the sixties, and gave to his housekeeper (who had a daughter who was a Beatles fan) Lennon also gave her the brown jacket that he wore on the cover of the 1965 album Rubber Soul.

The tooth looks pretty disgusting now (and even back then!) but it really is a one of a kind collectible that cannot be reproduced anytime soon.

$31,500 for an old rotting tooth? I guess Beatle body parts are hard to get a hold of.

Strange days indeed.
